Chief Impact Officer

The Paul Ramsay Foundation (PRF) is one of Australia’s largest philanthropic foundations, having delivered more than $1 billion in grants. 

The new Chief Impact Officer (CIO) will lead and oversee PRF’s work to ensure the Foundation effectively invests in, builds collaborations and helps influence the conditions needed to stop disadvantage in Australia. A key member of the Executive Leadership Team, the CIO will develop and implement PRF’s impact strategies across both the granting and investment portfolios. The CIO will represent the CEO, when necessary, at key events and with other senior stakeholders, including the media. 

Responsible for understanding the broader for-purpose landscape, the CIO will ensure insights and learnings amplify impact in the broader ecosystem. The CIO will connect across sectors, build collaborations and guide teams to better understand, increase and communicate PRF’s contribution to impact. 

We are looking for a visionary, strategic leader of leaders with deep knowledge of and extensive practical experience in social impact. We are looking for an outstanding executive with exceptional communication skills who can inspire teams and deliver place-based and national change. Experience in social impact, taking a systems approach and contributing to systems change within that context is essential.  

A background in steering investment opportunities as a grantee and/ or funder grantee will be highly desirable. The executive will display a healthy dose of humility and candour and operate with deep curiosity, courage, clarity, and connection.  

The role can be Sydney or Melbourne based.
